Milford Area Information
The Village of Milford is 2.5 square miles nestled in southwest Oakland County and is easily accessed from both I-96 and M-59. With a population of approximately 6,300, the Village serves as the central business district for approximately 25,000 people in the surrounding areas. The thriving downtown district draws visitors from communities such as Ann Arbor and Dearborn, while retaining its small-town charm.
The Village boasts six parks within its boundaries. Central Park, located on the banks of the Huron River, is a favorite with the children and teens who enjoy the playscape, basketball courts, tennis court, volleyball court, and ice rink. Fairgrounds Park is adjacent to the Senior Center for easy access to a picnic area and shuffleboard courts. Hubbell Pond Park is the site of the YMCA and Library, and a trail system that runs from Commerce Road all the way to Kensington Park on South Milford Road.

Location

Milford is centrally located for easy access to M-59, I-96 and US-23 allowing you a centrally located route whether you want to head into downtown Ann Arbor, Lansing, the metro Detroit area or westward toward the state capitol. To the west of Milford is Brighton and Howell and to the east is Commerce and Pontiac with South Lyon to the south.

Milford is a village in Oakland County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 6,175 at the 2010 census. The village is located within Milford Township.
​
There were 2,589 households in Milford of which 31.4% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 49.9% were married couples living together, 13.2% had a female householder with no husband present, 3.2% had a male householder with no wife present, and 33.6% were non-families. 28.4% of all households were made up of individuals and 10.2% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.38 and the average family size was 2.93.
